(More customer reviews)I have never done a product review before, but I feel obliged in this case because Wallwik can save so much time and effort.
I am renovating (DIY) a house that looked as if each room had been gift wrapped--wallpaper in all the main rooms, the closets, behind built in bookshelves, even on crawl-space covers. I started with the home remedies, because I am cheap--the vinegar, fabric softener, just pulling and peeling. When that didn't work I moved on to the DIF with the paper tiger. These work, but it is very labor intensive (my whole right side started to hurt) and very slow. I also did the steamer, which is about the same speed as DIF, but HOT, and really awkward in small spaces.
Then I found Wallwik. Fair to say it has saved me WEEKS in renovation time. You can do a big room in a day. It's really that good. Worth every penny.
Things I wish I had known before using Wallwik:
1. You have to follow the directions to the letter if you want it to work like magic. Watch the video on utube. Score the paper, spray the paper, put the sheets on, keep them wet, leave it on for 30 minutes (longer for multiple layers). If you skip any of the steps or don't leave it on for long enough you will think it doesn't work, but it DOES!
2. Buy the kit if you are just starting out--it has everything you need in one place.
3. The sheets can be reused (just rinse them) and cut up to fit small spaces.
4. Wallpaper removal professionals (and Home Depot) will claim not to know about Wallwik. Seriously.
Good luck, it's a messy job, but the walls look great after you are finished.
