(More customer reviews)This adhesive started out being the greatest thing in the world. The only problem is, that only lasted for about 4 days for the application I needed it for. All I needed the tape for was to hold a small 1 ounce circular disk to my car dashboard so I could mount my GPS unit to it. Total weight of GPS and holder is 1.2 pounds, well under the 2 pound limit of the tape. But any time the weather got too cold (below 40) or too hot (above 70), the disc simply fell off of the dashboard. The tape clearly states that it works in temperatures of 0-180.
I have tried multiple times to get this to work, but it simply fails each time. Two smooth surfaces cleaned with alcohol and the strips applied as instructed, but it never holds for more than a few days. I have even tried doubling up the tap and that didn't do the trick either. Maybe I need someting that's truly permanent instead of permanent and removeable.
Still giving this a 3-star rating because it surely works fine for other small applications, but it most certainly doesn't work when temperature ranges are involved.
