(More customer reviews)I needed a good wallpaper stripping system as we are updating a 1980's bathroom that hasn't been touched since the house was built in 1984. This stuff is great! Although there is only one layer of paper, I can see that this product would have been a life-saver when I stripped the paper in the formal dining room and entry. Best of all, the solution works like a charm to clean up the left over glue on the wall. Just be sure to leave the stripper sheets on for an adequate amount of time. I thought 30 minutes would be good, but found out that just being patient and leaving them on for 1 hour stripped the wallpaper with absolutely no effort and no damage to the wallboard underneath. Just be sure to keep them wet. A pump sprayer works and you don't have to buy the one on WalWik's site. The wallpaper literally came down in sheets, very little tearing. I then used the same pump sprayer that I had kept the sheets wet with and sprayed the walls once more before attempting to clean off the glue residue. I used a plastic scraper and gently scraped the remainder of the glue off. I then used a sponge and very warm water to wipe down the walls. The biggest secret is to be gentle and take your time. DON"T RUSH! That way you don't mess up the paper on the wallboard underneath. WalWik is as close to a miracle product as I have found. It really does live up to its claims. I stripped our 2 dressing areas and the bath, cleaned up the walls and had everything ready for my husband to texture in 2 days.
